This brings so much memories back of my teenage years. My mom made this as my favourite treat. She used normal jelly (jello) and evaporated milk. I used to call it 'veerligte poeding' (featherlight or fluffy pudding).
I experimented a bit here using cream cheese in stead of evaporated milk. Experiment with different flavour of jellies. You could subsitute the cream cheese with 1 cup of evaporated milk (nutritional information not included). If you use evaporated milk whip it till it nearly doubles in volume and its nice and fluffy before you add it to the jelly mixture.
Ingredients;
Hartleys Sugar Free Lime and Lemon Jellie Powder, 23 gram(s) sachet OR your favourite sugarfree jello.
Cream cheese (Kerem Labneh - turkish brand) 140 gram(s) OR your favourite brand (17% fat content)
Water, tap, 125 mL (boiled)
Water, tap, 125 ml (ice cold)
Directions
1) Add jelly (jello) crystals to 125 ml of boiled water and stir till dissolved.
2) Add 125 ml ice cold water to mixture and stir. Leave to cool.
3) Add cream cheese and whip till foamy.
4) Refrigerate till set.
