Day 1 of Peak313 Challenge!

Monday, September 10, 2012

Today is the first day of the Peak313 Challenge! It's a 5 week challenge where you commit to working out at least 4 days a week (for a minimum of 25 minutes each time) and memorizing one Bible verse each week. This week's verse is Ecclesiastes 4:12 "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands isnot quickly broken." The theme for this week is "Tied Together." I have created a sparkteam on here for the challenge, and the women on it are all amazing! I am looking forward to getting to know all of them and growing more physically and spiritually fit with them!

My plan for the next 5 weeks is to continue to do my Insanity workouts and to focus on "clean eating." I was trying to count points with Weight Watchers, but it just doesn't seem like enough food for my workouts right now... So "clean eating" it is! I am keeping track of my eating on the "notes" section of my iPhone. It seems easier than logging it somewhere or carrying around a separate notebook. I'm ready!

Great plan! I need to figure out how to make clean eating work for a family of 8 on a tight budget. Any ideas? Glad to have you heading up our team!

It feels good to start a great challenge that openly includes God's word. 2 miles of speed walking today followed by a short bit of pilates. My personal goal is to drink 64oz of water and to make sure to log my food each day. Good luck girls, I'm happy to be in it with you.
