The wonderful pedal thingy

Monday, September 10, 2012

OK, I will admit it, I do enjoy watching television in the evenings. And football on Sundays. Sometimes I would step in place while watching but that was pretty sporadic. But a couple of weeks ago, my DH found a little pedal machine that sits on the floor. I have it right in front of my TV watching chair and my recliner becomes a recumbant bicycle. I hardly even notice that I'm pedaling. Now I know it doesn't burn as many calories as a regular stationary bike. And I know its not weight bearing (I do that too). But it certainly is a great way to get in a few exercise minutes without having to carve out more time., I'm sure it has something to do with the slowly shrinking hips and thighs.

And I pedal faster when somebody on the football field is running. That makes my husband laugh.

I have one of those!! It was my mom's for her therapy. I use it all the time. Does yours show, step count, time and calories? It has RPM and a scan, but I don't use that. I keep a card with just the firsdt 3 I mentioned. Mine is a Drive brand.

So easy to use, huh? LIke you said, in front of the tv. I call it a peddler, because I wasn't sure what to call it.
