Fall is in the air!

I love my morning walks with my dog, but this morning was spectacular! At 6:45 am this morning, it was a nice 54 degrees in my sleepy little community. This has got to be my favorite time of year. Exercise is so much easier when it's not hot and humid! This was also a good morning because of what my scales said! I was just before getting a bit discouraged. Yesterday morning I decided to weigh and had gained a pound from the last time I weighed a week ago. I felt as if I was going backwards. Even though I fixed Sunday lunch for my grown children and ate a large meal, I stuck with just a salad and small baked potato for supper last night. Then nothing after supper. I decided to try out those scales again this morning out of curiosity. Low and behold, I was down two pounds from what I was yesterday morning!!! That was a nice feeling and made my walk even better. It is difficult to stay motivated when you feel like you are doing all the right things and you still gain, but so encouraging to see that scale move down. I'm not giving up. I know I'm on the right track. emoticon

    It's so exciting that fall is coming. The cooler air just makes it so much nices to get in those fitness minutes outdoors! Congrats on your weight loss and have a great week!
