I know I wasn't hungry, but the urge to gnaw kept arising. What helped me was:
* I was not in the kitchen
* Asked myself if I really was hungry.
* If I was to eat, it would have to be a healthy snack.
A quick read, Michael Pollan's, Food Rules:An Eater's Manual suggests, "eat as much junk food as you want as long as you make it yourself." And another: “If it came from a plant, eat it. If it was made in a plant, don’t.”
Yesterday's featured SP recipe of Sweet Potato Chili Chips reminded me of this. recipes.sparkpeople.com/
So the question is:
"Do I really the stuff bad enough to make it myself?"
I am a quick and easy type cook. I didn't want to mess up the kitchen. To fuss around making "chips" is not in my character. So I took a deep breath and the desire passed only to arise again a few minutes later. I still did not want to make a snack so I didn't eat one.
This time being lazy kept me from grazing.
