Poor kitty!

Sunday, September 09, 2012

It been a rough week for the Dragon family. In addition to my husband's crippling depression, my youngest has had a sinus infection (complete with an impetigo outbreak). And tonight, my old man kitty (Noodles, my "baby" for ten years now) came in with a massive wound on his tail. Given that and the torn claw on his back foot, likely from climbing, I'm afraid a dog got ahold of him. So I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow, my husband to the local mental health/low income center in hopes that they can do something for him.

I won't be able to get to boot camp, either. If it's not too hot, I may ride when I get back from the vet.

Gah.

Can I has a break please?

In other news, started Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University tonight. It's good to be re-reminded the principles that helped us recover from major financial issues last year.

We went through Finacial Peace University, mostly for the BW's benefit. We didn't need it, but I liked his radio show and it did finally (after 53 years) get her to see things the same way I do. We're ahead on everything and she's relaxed for almost the first time ever.

I hope your can makes it in good shape.

Sounds pretty rough. Try to find a few minutes for yourself somewhere in all the craziness. Hope everyone gets to feeling well soon!

I swear, you just are not catching a break this summer. As always, you're in my prayers.

Sure wish our 4-footed family members would be included on family health insurance plans. Some people (like me), that's all the family they've got. Vet bills can be crippling... with 4 furry family members, don't I just know it.

Poor kitty! My baby came home with a hole (yes, a hole!) in her tail once. Apparently cats tails are hollow near the base? Anyways, she got all fixed up and she was fine, but boy was it gross!

Oh no! Poor kitty! Luckily, if it was a dog, it could have been much worse than just his tail getting injured. I'm sure he'll be just fine!
Hope everyone feels better soon!

Rains and pours, huh? Once you get your kitty to the vet, attempt to not think about that situation for the time being; let the vet take care of him and try to not worry until you know more. Then you can focus on the husband situation; getting him help is an important step. You might even want to see about talking to someone yourself, alone or with him, to find ways to cope with what's happening within him and find how best you can support him. It doesn't have to be right away, but as he's working on changing his mindset (I won't say getting better) finding how you can help him through it will ease the changes.

As you get all this dealt with, you'll need to reward yourself with some healthful exercicse and nutritious/yummy food.

    Awwww...poor kitty for SURE!!

I deeply relate to your husband's situation ~ I have battled depression, too. My good news is that just this month, I have been feeling better than I have in such a long time...my very best hopes and support as you and your husband find your way forward toward the sunshine.

And, I did the Financial Peace University course too ~ I loved it ~ and learned a LOT! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did, and find it making a huge difference for you.
