Looking at this web page was part of a homework assignment for my nutrition class. I am taking advantage of the fact that this will give me another support tool in my journey.
I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's, a low thyroid condition. I am working with a nutritional doctor to see if there are things I can do nutritionally. There is new research that is finding many disease conditions are actually a physical reaction of too much or too little of essential nutrients. The trick is finding out what your body is needing.
So I have a lot of foods that are taken out of my diet and will slowly reintroduce them to see what I react to. This process is slow and disappointing in the foods I miss. No gluten, no dairy, no eggs, no beef, no pork, no soy, no tomatoes, no corn. Added enzymes and vitamins. But it is working, my thyroid level are going up, my iron and D3 also.
It is frustrating but I know in the end it will be worth it. I would rather find out what foods are not working with my body the depend on meds forever.
I will take advantage of the forum and share my triumphs and frustrations. I don't have a lot of time and this looks like it will be an added stress releaver without venting in person to the world.
Thanks for reading.
