My new love is Coconut Oil.
I am still in the process of discovering new uses for the oil but the math is pretty simple. Add coconut oil to diet = weight loss... skip oil for a couple of days = no weight loss. This stuff is amazing.
So far I use it in my green smoothie in the morning. I made the cauliflower rice with coconut oil, leeks, black pepper and a pinch of chili powder. LOVE IT. I sauté my kale in the oil with a touch of bacon grease. Yum! Also made the kale chips with coconut oil, sea salt and garlic. I probably reek like garlic with a faint whiff of the tropics.
The weight is coming off and I keep pushing it. Our pool closed after Labor Day so the easy daily exercise has come to a halt. Time to put on the walking shoes and keep up the exercise. I did really well in the pool over the summer and will miss it a lot. My jeans are really baggy. My husband laughs all the time because I won't put them away just yet. They look really terrible, but it has been so long since my clothes were baggy. Actually I don't really remember a time that clothes were baggy. I have always outgrown them because I was getting bigger and bigger. Then I bought the next size up. No more... I know I look ridiculous, but I am having a good time in baggy pants. Yes, Mrs. Baggypants it is... for a while anyway. Eventually I will put them away and hopefully have one of those glorious before and after photos..
