Ok the scale is being a jerk again this morning. Four pound swing in as many hours. Frustrated, as hell. My goal is to cross into the 250 pound range by the first of October. So this morning, I am rallying myself. In March I weighed 311 pounds.
I stopped drinking 9 sodas a day- that's a win
Five times a week I do a cardiac workout greater than 30 minutes-that's a win
When I jog up the stairs at work I am faster, and not winded-that's a win
I consume five servings of fruit or vegetable a day-that's a win.
I weigh less than when my daughter was born 9 years ago-that's a win
I weigh less than when I got married- almost 11 years ago-that's a win.
I have not been this weight since the late 90's -that's a win.
In six months time, I have lost 45 pounds-that's a major win.
When I started this journey. I told myself if I missed the final goal of 240 pounds, by years end but managed to drop 40 pounds it would be an appreciable win. I just got to keep that in mind.
