WEDDING DAY

Saturday, September 08, 2012

Today was my nephew's wedding. It was an outdoor wedding on the lake but days of all days it was pouring rain and the wind was blowing like a hurricane. It stopped raining for about 10 minutes then just as the wedding party got ready to walk down the aisle it started raining again. It didn't dampen the spirits of the bride and groom. She was beautiful and he was so handsome. At least the reception was at another location indoors so everyone was able to enjoy good music, food and laughs. I wish them many years together. Another piece of bad luck for them, they were suppose to go on a cruise for the honeymoon but when Stephen went to get his passport his birth certificate had been burned along with his parents marriage certificate and his mother's birth certificate. They had decided to declutter but it is beyond me why those papers were not in a lock box and why in the world did they not check every piece of paper before burning them. Oh well my sister in laws husband is a strange fellow at times lol. That's all I have for now so I will go take my meds and get ready for bed. I have to get up early in the morning for Sunday School.

My sister in law said they were just trying to declutter after all of these years. She said they just didnt pay attention to what they were burning. She should have known better as well.

Your sister in law's husband sounds like a MORON! WHY on God's green earth would you BURN the birth certificate of someone who is STILL ALIVE???? Is this HIS CHILD???? Here's a thought...GIVE IT TO THE PERSON! Burning a marriage certificate doesn't make it INVALID (if THAT was what he was trying to do) & burning his WIFE's b.c. doesn't mean SHE DOESN'T EXIST!!!!!!LOL
I guess everyone should be grateful that this buffoon didn't set his home on fire while he was doing this!
Please forgive me; but this is such a lame brained thing to do! What a JERK!

Best of LUCK to the Newlyweds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say the newlyweds need to be introduced to the Fly lady. You too. You need one thing that will be a spark for you to counteract that "I can't."

For me, I've created a play list that gets me going.

I am not up on why you can't exercise. but I know I've watched TV shows for people with little mobility and they say, "Do what you can."

And years ago, when my dad discovered he was diabetic and needed to exercise when he got home from work, we found a rebounder was the ticket. That was a mini trampoline.

How might that apply to you? Well, people in wheel chairs put their feet on the trampoline mat while others walked or jumped on the trampoline.
The one in the wheelchair actually had lots of benefits, just as if they were jumping or walking.

So what about facial exercises to a fun play list. Make yourself watch in a mirror with the idea of creating gales of laughter. Just what the doctor ordered.

And speaking of laughter, funny joke CDs, old reruns of TV shows I called hilarious like Mork and Mindy (nanu, nanu), I Love Lucy, Victor Borge and Carol Burnett got me through months of chemotherapy. I'd be listening with ear buds and burst out laughing, everyone including nurses had to know what was so funny, and soon the mood in the room changed for the good. Do you have some funny videos?

Burning Birth Certificates does sound like extreme de-cluttering! I get carried away some times, but I haven't done that. A rainy wedding? Well they can certainly remember that for years.

I, too, pray that the newlyweds have a long & rewarding partnership, as they enjoy the covenant of marriage.

God bless them both!
