Jungle Gym XT

Saturday, September 08, 2012

I splurged today. I didn't splurge on food but a suspension system.

The Jungle Gym XT is a in-home/out-door suspension training system that can be used in a doorway, on a bar or even over a tree limb. I'll be using it in my doorway.

I'll let you know how it works out. I just hope I don't break my door. emoticon

Now, I still need to get new workout shoes. Ugh! I hate shopping for emoticon. I normally get x-trainers, but if I get running shoes does that mean I have to start running?

Good trainers are essential. I have visions of you breaking that door! Enjoy and go for it.

I'd be so afraid I'd get tangled up and stuck hanging in my door weigh until DH got home while my 3 & 5 year old terrorized the house!

Oh that looks very similar to the TRX. My former trainer had me train some on the TRX, it's quite a workout. Let me know how you like it!

My Zumba instructor has something similar to that Jungle Gym. Last I heard it was giving her quite the workout!

    Good luck! emoticon

I had a system similar to that. I loved it until on of the bands broke. Let me know how yours holds up.

I had my stride evaluated at a local running shoe store in January. The shoes they recommended were the best I had ever worn, and made me feel like I was walking on air. I need to replace them, because it has been so long, but if you have a local store like that I would recommend that. Ravyna

Keep us posted on the new toy. I watch people taking a class with the suspension system at the gym, but I haven't tried it myself yet.

I've been tempted to go to Running Fit in Northville to get my stride analyzed before I buy my next pair of walking shoes (I'm hoping they do that analysis there), but I'm afraid they'll want to sell me running shoes and sign me up for beginner running sessions. I do want to try running again some day, but I'm not quite ready yet.

emoticon I love that you are trying something new! Please let us know how you like it. I don't belong to a gym, so I can always justify getting a new DVD or exercise equipment. Good luck finding just the right shoes~always a challenge for me. Have a wonderful weekend!

It looks like it is going to be fun! And it looks like it has sturdy pieces that won't wear out fast.

Thanks for sharing! I am going to go and check it out.

hmmm? a suspension system sounds interesting. Let us know how it works for you. I get running shoes primarily because they are lighter and cooler on my feet. They won't yell at you if you don't run... I promise!

ha ha! I'm pretty sure they don't come back to confiscate your running shoes if you don't run!

The jungle gym sounds interesting! Let us know how it works out.
