Q. How do you measure progress towards or maintenance? Scale weight? Body fat percentage? How your clothes fit? Other?

A. I'm still trying to figure this out. I think how my clothes fit is probably going to be the best gauge for me.

    That's what I do, too. How comfortable am I in my clothes.

    I love the feeling when my clothes are comfortable and digging in to my waist especialy when sitting down.

    I might have said this before but I started with short term goals of ten pounds. I focused more on my BMI. Next thing I knew I was in "onederland" then finally hit my initial goal weight of 170. I couldn't remember when I was close to that. I think it was at least 45 years ago! I also started to see that I was shrinking in my "big boy clothes" and my scale was keeping me honest. So, I used everything. I still weigh myself everyday even thought I've been maintaining for 16 months!

    Yes, I'm really trying to run away from the scale being the end all be-all for me. I think how my clothes fit will work out well!

    Sometimes it's hard to come up with an answer to these, you know? But it sounds like you at least have an initial strategy. emoticon
