This is my little buddy, Clyde. He's a 6 month old beagle mix and absolutely insane. He just got back from his "big boy" surgery. We had his rear dew claws removed at the same time because he's already gotten attached to the carpet once. So, he's laying around all pitufully...
This is my best friend and husband, Bob. He keeps me laughing even after almost 30 years (but don't tell him because most of jokes are really dorky) (This was taken when my hair was just coming in after chemo. I love this picture! I had my hat on and ask our friend was snapping photos, I spontaneously pulled that hat off and I'm so glad I did). This is love at it's best.
This is my grandmother when she turned 95 a couple months ago. As I type, she is in renal failure and isn't expected to make it more than a few days. I live 1000 miles from her, and this is one of those times I wish I was home! I grew up 1/2 mile from her house so spent many afternoons at her table. I love that woman!
Life doesn't get any better than sticky kisses from a grandchild! She lives 500 miles away but time with her is priceless. She just began Headstart this week and is having a blast.
This is my mom and our daughter. They hadn't seen each other for two years when Mom came out here this summer. Don't tell them I posted the picture - they both hate having their pictures taken!
This is our "little boy" the mountain man. Best sense of humor ever!
These are the hilarious socks I wore to my chemo treatments. I would dress in the most pathetic outfits for every treatment. I had a reputation, but it was one born of determination to laugh my way through treatment.
See above. I had over 50 hats by the time I was through, mostly because of my wonderful friend, Stine, who would send packages every week. Knowing my flair for fashion, she would knit pretty ones and then use the left over yarn and just make ... whatever ... this would be a "whatever" hat. Yes, I wore them all!
Two of our three goats ... Bella and Goliath. We also have a BIG goat named "Hosanna." Entertainment value beyond words.
This is the most important thing I have. God has been with me through so much and carries me through. He makes my paths straight. He refreshes me. I pray that no matter how sidetracked I become that I always live a life that honors Him.
I could keep posting ... I have sisters and a brother and a cat and a huge family in New England, but ... this is me! I am an over comer, I love people, I love God, I love to laugh, and I love to sing off key (the only kind of singing I do). Even in tearful moments ... like waiting for someone to die ... I can find a multitude of reasons to laugh.
