Continued Success... and a "Challenge" Tomorrow...

So, today's weigh-in was another good one: down another 2 lbs. since Monday... total of just under 10 lbs. since restarting my journey again! WooHoo!!!

Now, for the "challenge"...

Tomorrow, my hubby, my father & I are heading out on our annual trip to the Kansas State Fair, and this year, we're taking my youngest stepson & his girlfriend, neither of which have ever been to it before. Now, anyone who has been to a State Fair knows that the food there is definitely not the healthiest. I swear they will deep fry just about anything and see it there!!! A couple of this year's new menu items are deep fried Thin Mints (that puts a whole new spin on Girl Scout cookies), carrot cake funnel cakes (w/ cream cheese drizzle, of course), and donut burgers (that's right, instead of buns they use 2 glazed donuts)! OMG!!! emoticon

I do plan to try to eat as healthy as I can... I know there is a central food court that offers food booths from local charities rather than the normal vendor booths, and in years past, they've had healthier options to choose from. So that will definitely be where we eat our main meal. However, I am human, and part of the fun of attending the fair is trying out some of the noshes that you can only get once a year (thank goodness) while there! So, my plan is take a "bite" from others purchases, and if I do choose anything myself, try to stay away from the "fried" stuff. One of my favorite snacks that I can't wait to eat are these gigantic strawberries that are dipped in chocolate... some fruit w/ a little indulgence!

I will be back on Sunday to let you know EXACTLY everything that I ate there... hoping that by making myself that accountable, I might limit some of my choices a bit!

    Drink plenty of water and try to stick to the goals above that you mentioned. But I understand and would do the same. My weakness is the fried dough with powdered sugar!
