I was reading about a person running around the world and thought...hey, I can do that!
So I looked it up. Turns out, to run around the world, I'll have to run 24,901.55 miles. At my current goal of running 10 miles a week, it will take me 47.89 years.
DEFINITELY NEED A BIGGER WEEKLY GOAL!!
And I'm working up to it. But my shorter term (though still long-term) goal is to run across America. It's a starting point!
I logged onto the Run Across America website (
exercise.lbl.gov/ ) and added in the mileage I've already gotten since July. A grand total of 41 miles...in two months! Which got me really excited, until I realized that 41 miles got me to Charles City, VA.
This is going to take a while.
But it was really cool looking back at my early "runs" and seeing how far I've come. The average run, starting off, was a 20 minute run taking me 1.5 miles. Now, my normal run is 4-5 miles in about 50-60 minutes.
PROGRESS!!
I'll make it across America in NO TIME if I keep up with my workouts and keep progressing and getting better!
