I have been fighting with 2 pounds up then 2 pounds down for a couple of months now and my motivation had started to go downhill but then my husband told me to get out my cloth measuring tape. It was a strange thing for him to say to me but I did. He did my measurements and I have lost 1 inch on my waist, 3/4 inch on each upper arm, 1/4 inch on my thighs and an inch on my neck!! I am shrinking!! He told me to stop worrying about the number on the scale because I am building muscle and muscle weighs more then fat. I thought about that for a moment and realized how true that was. So even though the scale says I may have a gain, my measuring tape says I am getting smaller. The tape has become my best friend and I don't worry about what the scale says. My food tracking and exercising is really paying off!! If you get frustrated with the scale, take your measurements. You may be as amazed as I was.
