This is a strategy that my family has used for years. It comes from the tech industry where if one or even two system paths fail, you still have a backup. So I have been doing this with my nutrition trackers, through the lovely SparkPeople, then saving a copy of the daily reports, as well as writing everything down for my nutritionist, whom I see almost every week. (She's not tech-y.)
My new feel-good method of hitting my daily nutrition goals is to play a game, where the objective is to pre-plan the best meals to make, but not break, my set goals. So far, so good.
