Makes good use of time

Wednesday, September 05, 2012

When I was a kid, my report card often contained the words: "Does not make good use of time."

That was true then, and it has been true for most of my life (if I'm honest). It has also bee true that I am often tardy. I guess everyone has their shortcomings.

Recently (over the past year), I've been working toward improving those things. There is still much progress to be made, but....

I have not been late to work in 6 weeks. In fact, I've been about 5 minutes early nearly every day. I even made it to church on time on Sunday!

I have barely had time to breathe at work, but I am somehow caught up on all my paperwork! I call that success!

Today, I was at work early, got everything done that needed done, and left (pretty much) on time. Then, I came home, cooked dinner, cleaned the kitchen, went for a run, put in a load of laundry, did 40 minutes of Zumba, switched my laundry, and am getting ready to work more on memorizing my lines for the play. And, when Casey and I run through them in a half hour or so, I'll fold laundry and/or lift weights at the same time! My goal is to be in bed by midnight. Now who makes good use of time? This girl!!!!
