Spent some time over the last few days researching running techniques whilst running, I have a tendency to hyperventilate and it makes my chest hurt when running. It's strange to think that you can breathe wrong!
Today I tried a 3-in, 3-out technique in which you breathe in for three steps and breath out for three steps. It's hard to focus on your breathing all the time but it really did help. I managed to run for longer periods with walking breaks. Got my overall pace to ~7min/km hurrah!
