Great Start to September

August was a tough month for me. I wasn’t eating the healthiest food, I was having a difficult time staying motivated to eat well. However I kept up with the gym. Weight loss was slow for the month.

Today, I returned from a long and refreshing weekend in the Smoky Mountains. I ate moderately well and was very active, easy to do in such a beautiful setting.

After unpacking at home, I went to the gym for some cardio.

It turns out that I've lost two more pounds since my last weigh-in. That’s a grand total loss of 18 pounds! While I had originally wanted to lose 20 lbs by the beginning of August; I’m pleased that the scale keeps moving down.

As an added bonus, my hiking pants were very loose; it was such a great feeling considering in November I nearly replaced them for being too small!
