Tuesday - back to work!

Tuesday, September 04, 2012

I was actually pretty happy to go back to work today rather than spending time painting or moving furniture or other items. My boss gave me a project which is pretty exciting, it is something I have never done before and I have to be in contact with several people I have never dealt with before. I used to have to do this kind of stuff a lot but it has been so long that I am a little uncomfortable with it. Which is actually good, I had expressed that I had not been feeling challenged lately and my boss sure figured out a way to make me feel that way! I am confident that things will work out just fine, despite my initial feeling of insecurity about the whole thing.

At home we got the bookshelf anchored to the wall, and I moved about a third of my books onto it before I realized it would be better used as a temporary holding facility for the items that I had strewn around the room. So I put a bunch of stuff on the shelves and was able to get the bed in its final location and get an idea of the space I have available for end tables. I am very much enjoying this process but at the same time am looking forward to being done!

Stayed at the low end of my calorie range today, ate my three fruits and four veggies, beans with lunch, no snacks at work, and a roasted chicken breast for dinner so I hit my protein too! AND I got all my steps in, even though I could not walk outside, I figured out a way to work in a 550 step mini walk several times through the day which got the job done!

You had a great day! I'm glad you feel challenged at work. It makes the day go by faster and it's good to stretch your abilities.
