So we got back from our vacation yesterday. We got home around 5pm and I was tired, but I went immediately to do my C25K workout. It was Day 1 of Week 3. This week I begin running by either distance OR time, whereas the first two weeks were strictly time. I decided to run by distance and walk by time. In other words, I ran 200 meters (about 90 seconds), walked 90 seconds, ran 400 meters (about 3 minutes) and then walked 3 minutes, then repeated the whole thing. I was finished both rounds at 23:00, so I definitely had time for another 200 meter run, but I decided not to. Still, I ran my fastest so far, and went my second farthest (although the farthest was because I went about 1 1/2 minutes longer). All in all it was good. Hard, but a good hard.
Today, my exercising options are limited to elliptical or walking. The bikes are still in the back of the truck from vacation and Dad has to take them out. So that means I can't ride my bike or go to the pool. Which is fine. I'm going to start a strength workout tomorrow. A real one, I mean. The one I do now is kind of lame, just a couple arm exercises and one leg exercise. I want to also incorporate lunges, squats, leg raises, etc. I don't think I can do crunches yet because of my neck/shoulder problem from surgery. But I'll get there one day soon.
I'm motivated to do some serious juicing again. I really just feel like my body needs it. So we watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" again last night. That movie always motivates me LOL. I'm going to do a couple days of juice, nuts, seeds, beans, fruit, and veggies, and maybe a couple days of just juicing, depending how I feel. The scale is staying the same, so I'm hoping that this may kick start the scale again. It may or may not, as I still manage to consume a good number of calories even while eating this way. For example, breakfast was 1/4 cup walnuts, 3 medjool dates, and a juice of an apple and two peaches. I'll see how things go. I have to constantly remind myself that it's about a healthy lifestyle change - both eating and exercising - and progress may be slow, but it will be permanent. And if I'm eating right and exercising, the scale HAS to move at some point, I just have to be patient. Which is extremely hard. LOL.
