Push That Tush -- Diet vs Exercise

FOR WOMEN, ALTHOUGH EXERCISE ALONE WAS NOT A SUCCESSFUL WEIGHT LOSS STRATEGY

THE EFFECTS OF EXERCISE ARE OBVIOUS..AND IT BOOSTS METABOLISM

THOSE WHO INCREASED EXERCISE − MODERATELY OR SUBSTANTIALLY − LOST MORE WEIGHT THAN THOSE WHO CHANGED ACTIVITY LESS.

Whether exercise changes metabolism to allow more successful weight loss, or whether its stress-reduction benefits allow more consistent progress in changing eating habits, increasing exercise and decreasing calorie consumption clearly seems the best weight-loss choice for everyone.

info from article:
Weighing in: Diet vs. exercise for losing pounds
www.msnbc.msn.com/id/138

utrition/t/weighing-diet-v
s-exercise-losing-pounds/

I had a craving for sweet yesterday...in a bad way....I went raisin crazy.
Which proves...even with 'healthy' stuff...you can go off the deep end.
I also went to a website to check out how much exercise I would need to do, to undo the damage of 500 calories.
Conclusion....
It's easier to watch the diet than to exercise away the damage.
hence the blog

check out the calories for yourself...here's the link
CALORIES BURNED -- ACTIVITY CALCULATOR
enter your info then enter 500 calories in the 'OR' section

I love this, and I needed the reminder. On the radio I heard we have to walk the length of a football field to walk off a single M&M! emoticon

I find that my appetite is greatly decreased on days that I work out. I feel better and I have more energy when I start my day burning fat. Great blog post!

Thanks for the info! I always find that I do better when I work out in the morning...I mean work out really hard. It helps me remember what I went through and pass on the extra calories. So far it's working!

Awesome blog! I love to exercise so that part is relatively easy for me. Nutrition is harder. I have to remind myself: easy to eat 1000 calories. Hard to burn 1000 calories. Thanks for this great reminder to the spark world!

I have been a dieter all my life. I "knew" exercise would help me achieve my goals but I just didn't like it. This summer I decided to give it a try, exercise and diet. And guess what? I am leaner at a higher weight when I exercise. I can't wait to see what I look like when I hit goal weight because I've never been this fit for at least 25 years.

If I have my cats looking at me like that cat when I started to feel lazy (not because of tiredness but just plain lazy, hehe), I will push myself more! And because it's creepy, haha.

I believe to get balance with sleep, meals and exercises but the hardest for me is sleep but as you said in this blog, never say you can't!
