A crazy week.....

Let's see.......how did my week roll last week???
Tuesday was fun! My boss, who's getting his private pilot's license, flew me from Phoenix to Payson and back (with the instructor, of course). So that was a little scary, but fun and best of all.....it was during work time so I got paid!!! And got fed!!! lol......

Wed. was not so good..... hubby had taken the day off and decided to head up north on the Harley for a pleasure ride but before he could get our of town..... yep, you guessed it.....accident. Ugh..... this stupid crackhead decided to jaywalk/dance across the street and he had to swerve to avoid her and the bike went down, he went down.....omg....he was soooooo mad. The bike is a little old so even though the damage didn't LOOK that bad, it was enough that the insurance co. labeled it as totaled. That did not make him happy at all.
We spent all day Wed. in the ER trying to find out if he had broken some ribs. A CT scan and x-ray later they decided No, just really bruised. He spent the night for observation, but came home Thurs. So, I spent a lot of time away from work last week.

This weekend I actually saw 2 movies! I don't go very often to the movie theater so 2 in one weekend is pretty amazing! I saw 2016 Obama movie. That was very interesting and I enjoyed watching it, even though it was a little frightening. The cinematography was really good, it was beautifully done. A thumbs up for that movie!
Then today I saw ParaNorman with my step-daughter. I thought it was supposed to be good......ummmm.....no, stupid. Thumbs down on that one.

This week I'm only working 3 days and then I leave Friday to go see my Sparkfriend Raine in CO for 4 days!!!!! Yeah!!!! Can't wait to get out of Phoenix and have Girl-Time! I will finally get to see her house & meet Buffy and J!

Hubby's schedule switched from days back to nights, but now it's only 8 hr shifts instead of 12. So, that's not too bad. Tonight's the first night and I can see that I'm going to have to work hard to be sure to put myself to bed on time. It's now midnight and I'm sitting here on the computer instead of tucking myself into bed. That could be a problem, but at least his alarm won't be going off at 3am any more!

I hope everyone had a nice holiday today. I know I enjoyed mine! I even made homemade turkey & rice soup. It turned out pretty good except we ate all of it except one serving (which I'm taking to work tomorrow). I was hoping to have more leftovers for future lunches.... oh well, it was really easy to make so I guess I could make another batch.

I'm going through daughter withdraw.

My two daughters are now at University (together) and they seem to be having a great time. They live together in the same dorm room and have an assortment of other school friends there. It's all good, but I think I'm missing them way more then they are missing me.

We'll be heading up for Parents Weekend the end of September...I hope I can make it until then!
Good news though....they both interviewed for jobs the day after they moved into the dorms and both got hired to work with the events crew at the sports stadium on campus. So, that was super great news! yeah!!!
Good night!
