Started Week #4 - I may never drink soda again!

DH and I started week #4 of the HCG eating plan. I can't begin to express how valuable it has been doing this as a team! Yesterday the idea of eating popcorn and watching a movie sounded so tempting. However, together we were able to think of a different type of "treat" to have and watch a movie. Fresh fruit is becoming more of a treat standard for us. But there are so many ways that even fresh fruit can be dressed up with special spices and/or even warmed. Found a yummy recipes for warmed spiced orange slices. Super good!

For lunch today I fixed a different drink for us. Recently we've had some seltzer water with root beer and stevia as a drink treat. Today I tried something a little different. I mixed fresh lime juice and lemon juice with the seltzer water and stevia. I really liked it. In the past I have tried several times to get completely off of soda. With this diet plan no soda is allowed and now I've found some great replacements for soda that is much healthier.

I'm continuing to find some good recipes for us and learning how quickly these healthy recipes can be prepared. I plan to put these together in a special recipe folder to keep using later.

Weight is still going down slowly, but quicker that previous plans I've worked with, and I have not had much hunger or headache problems. So we continue to be very pleased with this plan and keep moving forward with it.

Seven more pounds to go!

  The first thing I got rid of when I changed my eating habits was diet soda. It is SO bad for you and trust me there will come a point if you stick with this that it will taste horrible to you. Good for you and your hubs to get healthy together! I wish you both the best of luck!
