Pleasant Start To My Week...

Monday, September 03, 2012

My daughter is starting first grade tomorrow.  It's so hard to believe how much she has changed.  We went to Walmart and picked up shoes to go with her first day of school outfit.  I will have to post pics in my next blog.

Today I've been working on cleaning up the carp at builds up on my side of the room. I decided to try on a pair of jeans I haven't worn since the summer of '07.  I was shocked to discover that I could put the jeans on. I thought my thighs wouldn't fit in at all.  I got these 24 black jeans on and was so happy.  Now I can't button or zip them yet, but that's ok. It's something to work towards, a goal to shoot for!!! I want to do better this week. Tomorrow morning, I will get up early... I just decided I will exercise-I hadn't planned to type that at first.  I was going to talk about getting up early to make my shake and my daughter's bfast.  But I remember in July waking up at 0430 and  doing my Turbo Jam.  I felt so good.  I didn't have to worry about when I would work out after work-nor did I have the desire to.  But I think that this would be a great way for me to start my week and build up exercise habits for a better me!   I have TOM visiting me as of yesterday but I will not allow this to deter me!

I need to work on getting back to my faith goals.  Talking with God in the mornings. That is most important to start my day off right.  I have a binder. I have written this in it so far:

My Goals

To Lose 50 lbs by Christmas
Plans to achieve this goal: pray often, drink 64oz water daily, exercise a minimum 4 days a week, drink a minimum of 1 shake a day

10 lb reward- a workout outfit
25 lb reward- a pair of Vibrams
50 lb reward- trip to VA Beach
75 lb reward- plan trip to an exotic beach with blue water (location & payment plan)

My plan with my binder is to read it daily and add to my goals in the areas of finances, family/households, friendships, faith and future dreams. I am in a life group and we are using a workbook called My Personal Dreams and Goals along with another book called Making Your Dreams Bigger Than Your
Memories. I made a binder so I could have extra space to write and revisit daily my goals.

What I have really been thinking about is that trip. I have a friend who is in Cancun.  She posted a few pics on Facebook and I'm so in love with the water.  My Mom went on a Carnival cruise last year and brought me back this beautiful blue turquoise t-shirt and it says Cozumel on it (also, I put this t-shirt on this morning and it is much looser than it was a year ago!!).  So depending on how things are in my life, we will see where the trip will be.  I just would like to do something out of the ordinary.  And I will use my commissions from Scentsy to go towards the trip! Win win, right?

Here's to an awesome start to September;)

I couldn't agree more on getting up early and getting it done! I'm working on making this a habit myself. Tell Emma I said to have a wonderful 1st day of school. I love your goals and have no doubt that you can achieve them. Put a picture of a beach with the blue water in your journal. It will be a great reminder of what you are striving for. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
