Quit fooling around!

Monday, September 03, 2012

YOU!! Yeah, that's right YOU! Quit fooling around, quit working yourself ragged and then pigging out! BALANCE, yeah that word you hate, but that everyone tries to tell you to do! Quit overextending yourself, and realize you are human, and can only do so much!! STOP SETTING YOURSELF UP TO FAIL!!

Whew, Yes ma'am, slow and steady is what I need to do. I totally set myself up to fail. I started a P90X challenge, and due to so much going on right now, I had to re evaluate. I need shorter, more intense and steady workouts. I need consistency and a little more give in my diet. I have been cutting so much out(even healthy stuff) that I am really feel deprived, so I binge, not good.
I weighed today, not good. So I am starting again, right here and right now.
Got people coming over to look at furniture today, so pray it sells!

I heard a talk-radio show interviewing a dietician about the current popular diets. She said everyone she has ever met that won the weight-control battle had 5 things in common--Balance, Moderation, Consistency, Discipline, and Persistence. I think she was onto something. As the Desiderata says, "beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself." Wishing you bunches of success.

When I started reading your blog, my first thought was "why is Kama yelling at me" LOL! I am so guilty. So much going on that I the last week I have been letting myself go. Not anymore, all things on track, starting today. I missed you!

I, too, believe in Balance!!! Big time! Balance in all: diet and exercise; quiet times/activity; passion/peace; rest/activity, work/fun (gosh, isn't it great when they're both!); spending/ get the idea!

I need more cardio and I know it, too. I'm fine once I get going, whether it's a chore around the house or;s just getting the impetus to get on with it!

Let'f think about this one: it's approaching autumn very quickly. The holidays will be coming up. I tell myself I really need to get on the ball quickly! I gained some of my original weight back. If I don't want to be able to eat ANYTHING holidayish...I'd better lose most of what I gained before Thanksgiving (or preferably Halloween!).
