I'm sitting here on the day I was supposed to be running 12 miles with nothing accomplished. I still have the evening. So far I'm really, really, disappointed in this week. I've been under a lot of stress and I somewhere from underneath it I lost my motivation to run. Things have been tense and I started having to take Zantac three times a day along with handfuls of ibuprofen to take away a headache that wouldn't go away. I'm feeling good this morning so far health wise. I hope today will be better in the way of my attitude and energy. I'd like to stop dwelling on my craptastic week 7 and start looking forward to a fantastic week 8.

You are doing great Nikki!!! I kind of think of those things as the ebb and flow of this journey. Evil stressors will not get ya! You are breaking through that wall:)

All of us have days that are not so great. Try to remember that it is just a day or even an hour at a time. You can do this. We are here for you :)

Bad weeks happen. To everyone. Even to the best-trained and most dedicated athletes. Try not to lose any more sleep over the bad week 7 and focus on tomorrow. May be you needed a rest and your body had no other way of telling you. Even if you don't run those 12 today, try to focus on what's to come. You've come a long way, Nikki. And I'm sure you have much more to accomplish!
Take good care of yourself!

I, too, hope that you feel better. Can you change anything about week 7? Nope. So time to let it go and move forward. Too much focus on last week will only hinder your focus for this week. Let go...move forward. You got this!

Sorry to hear you're having such a tough week. It might be worth it to get out the door anyway, even if you don't do the 12. I think the long runs take a lot out of us, and it might not be a bad idea to skip them once in awhile, but then total inertia is not good, either. Take care of yourself!
