My Granddaughter recently entered a local contest in which she was given two pair of old jeans to use in designing and sewing BY HAND an outfit which she could model.

This is what she came up with.




So if you thought sewing by hand was a lost art, there are plenty of 12 yr olds out there who are interested!

    Very impressive! Denim is hard to work with on a sewing machine, so I cannot imagine sewing a garment by hand. She is obviously very talented in design and in sewing, and a beautiful girl as well.

    Cute! I made a downfilled vest in home-economis at that age, which was sewed by machine and the only thing I ever sewed.
