I think I understand that cravings are a desire to eat a particular food or a great deal of food without necessarily feeling physical hunger. And I'm pretty sure that cravings are USUALLY emotional (except under special circumstances, such as deprivation, chemical imbalance, pregnancy, etc.).
And hunger is that feeling you get in your tum when you have finished processing all the food you've eaten and your body needs more.
I'm pretty good at dealing with cravings and satisfying hunger. But...
But then there's that feeling called "are you kidding me?! this is my favorite food, and you make it better than anyone else, and there is NO WAY I am going to say no to it! Especially since I only get it once or twice a YEAR!"
And also "I don't really need or want that much, but it's too little to save, so it'll go to waste if I don't eat it."
Or "I just don't have the energy tonite to make something fresh and tasty and low calorie... what's in the fridge? raw veg and fruit? Yech, I need real food!"
Or "Everyone ELSE is having dessert... so just this once I'll try the lemon squares."
Or "I can't really say no to Aunt Sally when she's passing around her trademark brownies, she'd be so hurt."
Or "I said NO FRIES, but they put them on the plate anyway and I'm starving!"
How do you deal with those?!
