Okay after a really lazy summer I have decided to get back into my workout routine and for the past week I have managed to make step count and used my Wii Fit Plus 4 out of 7 days. Today is day 1 of a new week.
I managed to make my step count for the entire week. Granted I have my goal set at 8,000 steps not 10,000 but I am trying to build back up. I know that my NDS "game" will ask if I want to bump my count up to 9,000 after I officially log my steps for the day. It is silly but I have refused to use my steps to draw pictures of various animals, places, objects, etc on my NDS Walking game until I have kept my step count above the set limit for 2 weeks. I have until this week only managed 3-4 days out of each week all summer.
I am no longer accepting excuses for my laziness. I know I am working full-time and also doing an online course, but there are others who are doing far more than I am and still manage to make time to get exercise in.
I am starting with my Wii Fit Plus again and will work my way back to using my XBox Kinect for my UFC workout and the dance games I have. I have also gotten back into doing a walk/run once a week with my 17-year-old daughter and hope to start going on bike rides with the 14-year-old alone or with both of the girls on the day we don't run.
I am also trying to organize my desk so that it is easier to take notes and such while I am studying. Unfortunately my monitor takes up a lot of room and I am not sure where else I can place it so that I have more room. I may figure it out eventually, or I may just break down and finally buy a flat screen monitor.
I hope that everyone has had a great long weekend so far (for those that actually "celebrate" Labour Day). Time to go relax for the evening.
