Crazy Two weeks about to happen

Sunday, September 02, 2012

I don't know how I am going to get through the next two weeks. It is going to be crazy!!!!

I am working on getting all my personal stuff organized today. I have ignored it the last couple of weeks and won't get back to it over the next couple of weeks.

I am working tomorrow. I thought I was going to have to work on budget and other documents for the Board meeting, but I got most of it done yesterday. I will have to print a draft version for review, but that won't take as much time as the full preparation. That gives me a leg up to start with. Instead I will be able to get some of the projects others have been waiting on while I have been doing the budget and cost reports. I am not excited about working on a holiday, but I do love working in the office when no one else is there because I always get so much done and get a sense of accomplishment.

Tuesday night I am helping my mom set up for the garage sale this weekend. Happy about that because hopefully that means I will get my garage back. It has been half set up since the garage sale attempt that didn't go well last spring.

Wed night is our CCD (religion class) instructor training.

I am sure Thursday is something, but I am not sure.

Friday night I am supposed to go to listen to a band at our community's festival, but I will probably be packing for the weekend instead.

Saturday is our Girl Scout Council's Annual Meeting and Adult Recognition ceremony. I am on the committee and are very excited about some of the awardees. We have some volunteers that did some amazing things this year that are going to be recognized. You've read about our One Tough Cookie Race onetoughcookierun.org/ . Another amazing project was Camp HERO - an opportunity for girls to learn about Police, Fire, and EMS careers. www.camphero4girls.org/H

I will drive from MAdison (Central WI) for that meeting to Fond Du Lac (NE WI) for the night. I'll be up at 5AM to get ready for my Tough Mudder race. I am in the second wave at 8:20AM. This day never felt like it would get here. I can't believe it is only a week away. I am racing with CBUDACK. So excited!!!! Oh - and Rachel from Amazing Race will be there! So hope I get a picture with her!

Then it is back to work. Our annual audit is the next week, so I will be busy preparing documents for that. The county fair also kick off on Wed, so I will be helping my daughter to get her projects ready and delivered on time. This will be interesting since we won't get the tags for her entries until Monday night. Thursday night is Board meeting night.

I am off Friday to go help make final preparations for One Tough Cookie. Saturday is the day we've been planning for all year. I will be working the race in the morning and then racing in the 1:30 heat with all my sisters and my mom. My daughter might join us if she isn't working.

So much stuff!!!! I love it, but I would like a break too.
