09/02/12 Fit by 40 Week 4

Third week down. My weight is finally starting to level out. I am down 2 lbs this week (my weekly goal) down for a total of 14 lbs so far! I am at the weight I was at when I had started my weight loss goals 2 years ago.

I have remained soda free, and have still been eating within my caloric goals. I hiked 2 times again. this time I added a 10 lb weight to my bag to make up for the weight I had already lost. I would have hiked another 1-2 times had it not been for the remnants of Hurricane Issac coming though the area. My biggest challenge this week was going over to supper with my Mom and Step Dad this Friday. She fixed my favorite food, lasagna! I am proud to say that I fixed myself a conservative portion, and still didn't manage eating it all. She also had cookie cake and ice cream. I allowed myself to eat some, but once again, had a very conservative portion.

They say that it takes 21 days to form a habit. I am hoping that this is true, as I have been at this for 21 days now, but cravings went up quite a bit this week. I, however, kept my head about me, and still managed to eat well through the cravings. I was on duty last night, and even though I was surrounded by fast food, I ate a 6" sub and some soup from Subway as opposed to some of the alternatives.

Next week I am taking all my measurements and posting another picture. I guess we will see if there is any noticeable difference in my appearance from the time I started until then,
