I feel like a failure!

This is Sept. 1, 2012 and I have not done anything good for my self or my body since June 13, 2012. On that date there was a Fire in the condo building I live in. Everyone got out ok including the pets. Since then, my husband, myself and our cat lived in 4 hotels and are now in a different condo till at least January 1, 2013. I have lost all motivation to exercise or take care of my body. Needless to say I have put on pounds and just got a new job. I am trying very hard to get back on track with my workouts but need much help and support.

    Hugs! Thank God you all got out of the fire safely. Stress like that can really throw you for a loop.. I think that your being here to even check in shows a great desire to get back to taking care of yourself and that is a good step.

    When I was young my house burned down and it has haunted me my whole life.

    What step can you take TODAY to get back on track? Track food? Eat more fruits and veggies? Drink more water? Take a walk?

    Don't beat yourself up over the past. Just pick yourself back up, shake the dust off and do the best you can at this meal, at this hour, on this day, etc.

    You only have to start and with a new job a new condo , why not make a new beginning for yourself on a healthy path at the same time. Don't worry about what you did wrong just consider it a fresh start.

    You've had a stressful couple of months. Don't beat yourself up about sliding off track. Just get back on and forget about what has happened in the past. You can't change the past... you can only plan for the future.

    Having been through a house fire myself, I can say that you've been and are still going through something horrible. Be gentle and patient with yourself, until you get settled. emoticon

    It sounds like you have had a rough couple of months. Life get in the way. It sucks. I have been in a rut myself after needed to get staples in my head and being put on a hold from working out. Getting back into seems to be the toughest thing (mainly mentally).

    You can do! You survived a condo fire. You have your family, and people around you that support you. Just start out small. Maybe walks around the block or something. You can do it!
