Calling It Quits

Saturday, September 01, 2012

As of the 31st of August I officially stopped drinking pop! I want to see really how long I can go without any at all. So far so good and I don't miss it a whole lot. (yet) The real hard times will be when I eat things fried or like pizza cause I always want pop with those things. So my new strategy is that I'm using the mobile app for SP but also the meal plans from the branch of SP called BabyFit, it is mostly like this only the meals are tailored more towards healthy eating for pregnancy rather than for weight loss. If I happen to lose some fine but if not that is just as fine too as long as I'm getting those important nutrients my body needs along with adequate water intake. If any of you are on BabyFit and would like to communicate or be friends on there please let me know. I have also made a new MommyTeam for ladies who have had one or more molar pregnancies and would like to try again in the future. I believe it's called Molar Mommies Waiting/TTC so please stop by if you have this goal and want to do everything you can for a healthy pregnancy next time. I also would like to say that its sucky how there is no like option for comments and stuff.... you can tell I'm on facebook way too much lol!! Well good luck to you all whatever your goals may be, and hopefully I shall write back soon with good news about my progress. ~

That's a great goal to set - good luck! I've never been a "pop" or coffee drinker...

Thanks guys!! I will definitely keep track of the days and I don't have to worry about my head hurting any because I quit caffeine a year ago due to anxiety. So I should be pretty good with it... Yesterday I drank 6 cups of water and today 4 and I'm amazed at how I'm eating better and so full and satisfied without all that other crap. I am loving this and I hope it sticks. ~

Good job on giving up the pop - I gave it up January 1 and have not had one since so that is now over 240 days - keep a record of how many days you go it might help keep you away from it - I found that once I hit 10 days no pop I didn't want to end the streak - but the cravings came in the evening for about 10 minutes but I pushed through it - I know you can do it because if I can anyone can.

Giving up soda is a great goal - there is nothing positive about soda. I gave it up 15 years ago and do not miss it. Make sure you have some headache medicine around because a lot of people get headaches from the lack of caffeine.
