Whether we like it or not, life is a journey with many ups and downs and twists and turns. One day we may be going along just fine on our Spark program. Then something changes and we start feeling restless and perhaps inundated with temptations. We may reach for our willpower and find that it doesn't seem to
be there. We may start feeling overwhelmed and not know what to do. So we
start making poor food choices, which reinforces our desire for comfort food. Then we start eating even more comfort foods to numb the guilt we are feeling for overindulging repeatedly. And we get stuck in a negative cycle.
We don't like feeling that way at all. But perhaps we need to sit in it a few days. Having done that we can start to feel motivated to get out of the shame and negativity we have been surrounded by. At that point we can honestly look at our eating and movement patterns and see what we need to do differently. If we are feeling bad enough (and feel we have a strong connection to SP and are willing to access all the support and all the tools available there), we can be motivated to do things differently and turn a negative into a big positive. It's just part of the journey.
