I have a sordid weight loss journey, as I'm sure many of you do as well. In the past I could lose a few, or 20, or 30 pounds only to celebrate and gain it all back over the course of a year. And that's where I'm at today.
I am back to where I weighed a year ago. And those clothes fit again but this time around even better. This time I am exercising so my body is building muscle which increases my metabolism. I need that. And muscle looks better than flab at any weight!
Other NSV's as of late include being able to walk 2+ miles without feeling as if I'm going to die. I walked much faster and didn't come home exhausted. No cramps, shin splints, or swimming in sweat. It feels good.
I've been very critical of myself lately because of my lack of outdoor exercise. I keep beating myself up with, "How do you expect to continue your journey if you can't even get outside to exercise when it is nice out?" I realized that being comfortable with exercising with videos INSIDE is more advantageous. No worries about too much snow, cold or ice this coming winter. Coming to the realization that exercise inside is just as good as a walk outside is another NSV.
