I Gave Myself Permission NOT to Track Yesterday

Friday--two hours to a work meeting, lunch out with colleagues, a visit to my favorite great-aunt, dinner on the road home, and an alternate route that added an hour.
What's good--I skipped my previous pattern of bags of M & Ms or Twizzlers to keep me company in the car. Learned my lesson with the Denver trip.
What's not so good--the multiple cookies that I ate in the meeting because I was feeling a little frustrated and anxious. The full turkey-and-cheese wrap that I finished even though I could tell I was full halfway through. Well, and the condiments that I spilled on my favorite sweater, but that's probably not so relevant here.
And really, I didn't want to face the calorie total. I have a pretty good idea, though. And that, too, is good.
I'm back at it today, and looking forward to a well-engaged LONG weekend. I'll have to do some significant work tasks each day, but there's plenty enough of open time to read and relax.
