Sorry, this is gonna be long!

We've been in Lincoln for almost 1 month now. Our apartment is pretty nice, quite small, but decent for the most part. The best part is that we get to have all 4 pets! :) Our neighbors are quite nice and everyone in our building has at least 1 dog.

It is so HOT! I, being from Washington, am not used to it being so hot and humid. I've never in my life experienced temperatures in the 100's! My husband is loving it though *good natured eye roll* haha!

I miss my family. It's hard being away from them... but we talk often and have "skyped" a few times, so we've actually gotten to see each other :)
I just got hired at a dog boarding facility here in Lincoln, NE. My first day was yesterday. It was tough! I went on five 20 - 30 min hikes, with dogs pulling me everywhere (some dogs... there were also some very well behaved ones :) ), I helped out in the play yards, picking up LARGE amounts of poop! Ha.... I was exhausted at the end of the day... and very confused about a lot of stuff... I had to skip my INSANITY workout because I was just so tired.

BUT today was a better day. I learned how to clean the dog runs, so I did a lot of cleaning. I took a couple hikes with the dogs and helped in the play yard a bit. I also ran dogs back and forth to various areas when needed. I had a safety meeting today as well. I'm off for the weekend, but Monday is supposed to be crazy busy, so I'm nervous about that; but I'm trying to remember to stay calm and that I'm BRAND NEW! I'm not going to be perfect... I can only do my best.

I'm so used to being home all day (since I have been out of work for a while...) that 8 hours is a very long time to be away. Makes me miss my baby-dogs :) After I'm at work 90 days then I have the option to bring them with me (if we aren't too busy), so I might, I'm not quite sure... Luckily, Nate's schedule for school schedule works so that the dogs can be walked and let out at various times during the day, or he's home for a good portion of the morning or afternoon, so they aren't alone all day :)
