Getting back on track!

Friday, August 31, 2012

So the last few weeks have been tough on me. I had been doing great about watching what I ate and was in a routine of exercising daily only to run into a detour but now I am slowly coming back.
On August 11th (Our wedding anniversary) I woke up not feeling well. Anytime I ate I would feel ill and could only eat a couple of bits and then feel over full. I then started running a fever. The next day thinking it was a bladder infection went in to minute clinic only to find out that it wasn't a bladder infection and that I would need to go to my regular doctor on Monday if I wasn't feeling better. So Monday comes and I was doing worse so I went to see my doctor. She did some test and of course everything came back fine. When she did my exam she was pushing on my upper right side abdominal and I was very tender. So she set me up to have an ultrasound done thinking it may be my gallbladder and again this came back normal. The doctor was not convinced that this was still not the issue and ordered a test called a Hida scan, this test the to see if your gallbladder is functioning. I had that test done Wed am and was to get my results on Friday at my follow up appointment. But Wed afternoon I receive a call from my doctor explaining to me that my gallbladder is not working and that I need to see a surgeon on Friday instead. I was had surgery on the 21st and now am recovering. I guess the good news in all of this is that I have maintained my weight and am down 23lbs.
The hard part will be once I am cleared by my doctor is to get back into working out. Wish me luck.
