Every year our garden produces a mystery crop that we didn't plant as a result of our composting efforts, This years mystery crop is delacata squash. ( long rounded light green with dark green stripes) My question is how do I tell when the squash is ready to pick? Also can I cook it in the oven using the same technique for cooking acorn or butternut squash? I love Falls harvest of fresh veggies and want to know how to best use them. Thanks for any help you may offer!!
