I'm a little sad that summer is coming to an end. No longer can I swim in the lake in the 90 degree weather and 75+ degree water. I've taken up walking instead, which I have been enjoying. Already I am thinking ahead to when winter hits, what am I gonna do for activity? I would like to get our Wii fixed, and get a Wii Fit Board. We used to have one, and I really enjoyed some of the exercises, like the yoga, boxing, step aerobics, hula hooping, and more. So that's the plan. For my walking routine, I am using the iPhone app MapMyWalk, to keep track of my workouts. Makes it kinda fun, seeing if I can beat my own times.
I've been disappointed in the fruit selection lately too. No longer can I find crisp green grapes, beautiful strawberries and blackberries, or tasty cantaloupes and watermelons. It's hit and miss at most of my favorite grocery stores. So as we head into fall, I guess we'll be doing more apples, pears and oranges, and some other types of fruit. My daughter told me she had the best peach she's ever had. Perhaps they are in season right now. I'm putting them on the list for tomorrow's shopping trip.
My weight is holding steady at real close to 30 pounds. I am feeling ready to move on now though. Feeling doubt about being able to reach 40 pounds by our 3 month weigh-in on Sept. 13 (which is my son's 17th birthday), thinking of maybe revising the date to my birthday, which is Sept. 24th. So my original goal was 35 pounds by Sept. 13 weigh-in. Sounds great to me! I can achieve!!!
