Day 3 of mini goal

I am feeling great! In my prior blog I set up some mini goals to get back on track, for 2 weeks doing Cardio 5 days a week with 2 ST days. Well today is day 3 of this mini goal/challenge I set for myself. I woke up this morning not wanting to go to the gym but stubborn enough not to give in to it. I got dressed and off I went--wow it felt great. I mixed it up, I did the elliptical then treadmill/run/jog as HIIT. Felt so good when I was done. There is such a great feeling when you accomplish a goal you set for yourself.

I don't want to get comfortable in this great feeling because I have two more days left in this mini challenge for week one.

I also am so proud of myself on my eating. Today I was somewhere handling a matter which should have been done within 2 or 3 hours, I came prepared with my protein bar, a piece of fruit and boiled egg. Well, when it went later into the day and it was the lunch hour, everyone else opted for burgers, fried chicken, Chinese--but I found a Mexican restaurant and ordered a crab salad with no dressing and a small pollo enchilada. What I did with the enchilada was opened it and took the chicken out and placed in my salad and added a teaspoon of salsa. I figured I needed nourishment but healthy ones, I needed protein and the crab-meat was not enough which is why I ordered the small enchilada also I figured it would trick my brain into thinking I was eating Mexican food that I so love; it worked!

Since being on this journey of weight loss and toning, I have tried very hard not to eat out, well today was an unanticipated situation which I am proud I handled well.

All in all it was a good day.

The lesson learned: One day at a time to reach my goal--if I focus on just the day I am in and make it the most productive and healthy day then I am one day closer to my overall goal. I am so so proud of me.
