Well life stepped in, perimenopause stepped in and 14 lbs found their way back. I started back here keeping track of everything and running 3 times last week and getting in my crunches (hate the stomach this time in life has given me) and at end of week, I was down about .5 lbs. I was going to throw in the towel. but something made me lay out my running clothes this morning. started out and almost turned left instead of right (and would only have completed a loop about 1.5 miles long) but I turned right and headed up the hill. trying to complete a loop I have run before that is 3.75 miles long and today I ran it all and when I got back on my street actually turned down a straight dead end road and ran to end and back and then ran home. I completed a 4.25 mile loop, ran whole thing, no walking at all and then did my stretches and my crunches. Now off to shower and then make a nice dinner and log in my food for day. I was feeling defeated, but I have heard over and over here, just do 10 minutes and see how you feel. I did about 7/10ths of a mile and decided I didnt feel terrible that I could do more. I am glad I did. I feel great right now. and tomorrow I have a running date with someone so another 4 miles here I come. I guess I am going to remember today when I feel defeated again (and I know I will) and take that right turn.
