You know how some music just makes you DANCE??? You do it subconsciously, the music just gets into your bones and your soul and you dance without thinking - you know that kind of music?
Doesn't take too much, I love to dance. (I've danced with cans of artichoke hearts in my hand, in the veg aisle of a supermarket, because Aretha was singing about R-E-S-P-E-C-T and my friend was trying to grab the cans out of my hands........)
So there I was, dancing at Office Max, to Coldplay's "Every Tear is a Waterfall" - title sounds much sadder than the music is, it's very happy and bopping - and I'm just dancing along, a little hip and tush action, shoulders shaking, as I'm looking at the inflatable travel pillows.
And I hear a voice behind me say, "Well, I've been watching you dance there for the longest!"
Turns out to be a former student, now a teacher, therefore a colleague - just laughing at me as I'm dancing away in Office Max, getting my groove on and my cardio in, oblivious to the world..........
So of course we chatted, me with my face pink with embarrassment but laughing anyway, because it WAS funny, and hugged because it's always good to see her.
You know how we have sayings below our posts, here in SparkWorld? My little saying is, "Dance as if no one is watching." I think it's an old Chinese proverb.
Apparently I take this very seriously. In my lighthearted way.
Oh, if you haven't read about women having a happy gene, check it out:
Because if at all possible, I think I might have TOO MUCH happiness gene!
