I haven't been on Sparks for a few days. I was not feeling well this past weekend and by Monday I couldn't even move and my left leg was really bothering me. And when I walked my leg was hurting which is not normal. I know my body so well that I can tell when something is wrong. I called the dr they squeezed me in you know how that goes. I was seen at 4 p.m. (had only been there since 1:00 p.m.) still not bad. They scheduled me for a doppler on Tuesday. So, I went the did the doppler the tech says let me send to the dr office and go from there.

Now, normally I do these every 6 months and tech will come out and say you are free to go. BUT this time he said the dr wants you to go straight to her office she wants to give you the results. I was about in tears b/c I knew what was coming and husband out of town on business that didn't help either.

So, I get to the dr.'s office she said you were right, you really do know your body. They found TWO NEW BLOOD CLOTS in my left leg. One higher from the one on the calf and the other one on my thigh. Little too high for my liking. So the new plan shots 2x a day and add baby aspirin to get my blood thinning, for some reason my body does not want to thin. emoticon So 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Evening okay hubby will give to me. My friend who is the receptionist at work will give them to me she gave it to me this morning, she good at it, she used to be a school teacher and she gives herself allergy shots.

The worst part is that the dr does NOT advise me getting on the plane on Saturday, she not keeping me from it BUT advises against it, there are too many risks with newly developed clots and the new upped meds won't have even worked by Saturday to get it where they want it. Really? Seriously? This just CANNOT be happening to me. I need this vacation badly.

Thank goodness hubby will be back home tonight from his business trip, I really need his strong arms around me right now.

NATPLUMMER thanks for the SparkGoodie Hug I needed that!

ABB698(Lesa) and MADEFITHAPPEN(Maya) I am so totally bummed if I don't get to go on this trip and meet you ladies. Lesa it was great talking to you on Monday night I didn't realize we were on the phone for almost an hour! It seemed like for only a few minutes. Will keep you posted.

I go back to the dr on Friday for lab work, though I think I need to call her NOW b/c my chest is now starting to hurt (well more where my lungs are than my chest) which is scary b/c I have had pulmonary embolism before and I dont' want that again either.

I have been on the same rollercoaster since 2008 and it is no fun anymore. Someone PLEASE PLEASE PUSH THE STOP BUTTON I WANT TO GET OFF NOW.

Until next time,
Maria

Oh No, Maria! Selfishly, I totally want to see you, but unselfishly (and more importantly) you need to do what's best for your health. You have had way too many issues and you know your body better than anyone, so please listen to it's clues and make the best decision for your health. Your happiness is important too, but we need a healthy Maria to be happy! Sorry this is happening while hubby is away. Hopefully he's back and at your side, and that has you feeling better.
It was awesome to talk on the phone with you, and I knew it was longer than 20 minutes, but wow...just like you said, seemed like 5 minutes, I even told my daughter it was like talking to an old friend, very comfortable. I'll be praying for you hun! Keep us posted and remember that Maria comes first! emoticon

You might want to call the doc now. It could just be a stress reaction.
