OMG! 2 weeks til BLC 20 kicks off. I'm so excited!!!!
To help get me ready, my hubby has presented me with a challenge to help me boost my weight loss as I seem to be stuck on a plateau.
For 2 weeks, I have to track my food (write it down, including calories) while focusing on my snacking. I also have to come up and work on getting consistent with exercising. I've noticed in the past that if I'm not losing weight, one of the first reasons is that I'm not exercising consistently. The second reason is because I snack too much. We want to try to combat both those issues.
Here is my exercise plan:
Sun - rest or ST/cardio (with hubby?)
Mon - C25K
Tues - ST/cardio (with hubby)
Wed - C25K
Thurs - ST/cardio (with hubby)
Fri - C25K
Sat - rest or ST/cardio (with hubby?)
The C25K is going to be a for sure thing as I am trying to get consistent pacing or better at running in general. My next 5K is mid October so I'll be working on that program at least til then, and then maybe stop or finish and complete. The other days I'm allowing for variety. I want to get at least 2 ST sessions a week and I want to do some other form of cardio besides walking/running that can be considered cross-training, but I'm flexible as to when those are. Also, depending on what we have planned on the weekend, those days may be going to the park and biking or working in the yard, or may just be considered a rest day as we have other stuff going on.
Now on to food - I know dinner is healthy as most meals are cooked at home so that probably won't be tracked. Our worry is more my snacking (cookies, candy, soda, etc.). So, I will be tracking breakfast, lunch, and other food that goes in my mouth. If dinner is somewhere like a restaurant where I can find calorie info, then I'll track it. If not, then dinner will be skipped, but I may still list on my tracker what I had. Then, at the end of 2 weeks (or the first week of BLC) I will look at my eating habits and see if there is a way that I can work to a more healthy eating habit.
