Well I'm on to my next big adventure. I picked up my race packet last night. We are running in a 5k night run tomorrow night. And no I am NOT prepared for this one!!
I have spent all month focusing on my biking. I have only run twice this month (once at the beginning, and again last night!!). If I was really serious about this race, I think I would be quite upset with myself for not being more prepared. But we planned to do this race for fun. It was the motivation to try running. And I think it has helped with that. When we went for our run (3K) last night, we really had little trouble doing it, even though we didn't do much preparation. Like I was telling my husband, "it's like we skipped to week 4 out of a 6 week program and week 6 needs to be in a couple days"!!!
This is a fun run for us. We will go out and try our best to run the whole 5k. And if we can't, we can't. And whatever our time will be, it will be. We are in it to finish it, and that's all. It's been another way to keep us motivated to keep moving!
Also the BBQ with smokies & smores at the end will be fun!! (That I believe is the only reason my husband signed us up for this run!!!) Wish me luck!
