Day 177/126

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Today I put another coat of polyurethane on the skeleton of the NEW cabinet, and the first coat of polyurethane on the front of the doors. Almost there... Airin still needs to repair four drawers and he said he'd paint the rest of the pantry door. But now he has reading to do, and so he says he doesn't have time.

I told him tonight I think he might need to get a job. Just a few hours per week, but we're just making ends meet. Anything that comes up, and we have to put it on the charge card. Like... his car, which needs about $1000 worth of work. And his teeth, which need about $400 worth of work. And his technology fee at the college, which is $270. You know, he is really freaking expensive. I seem to make the money, and he seems to spend it. At first, he was like "When am I going to work?" because we don't want to pay for child care for him to work, because all the money he earns will go to child care. But he could do a few hours a week or something to make a little extra.

He didn't like it, but he agreed. To close on the condo, I had to use all of our savings, and our tax return, and so we have no money saved that is accessible. And I need SHOES. My shoes all look like hell, and I teach in shoes that look like hell.

The BodyMedia is going well. I walked to and from work today, and I ran 2 miles this evening, so I racked up lots of calories. I didn't lose weight this morning, but I think it will be coming off soon.

Well, time to put the kiddo to bed.
