Training for a 5K

I know I have about six months and many people can probably train in less time, but I am training for a 5K - the Disney Princess Marathon at the end of February. I'm so excited about doing this.

It may not seem far to many, but for me it's going to be a huge step. Not only that it's about finding the motivation (and time) to train,but having a sense of accomplishment. I have my vision board on my bedroom wall along with a before picture of me and a list of things I want to accomplish - running a marathon being at the top of the list.

It will definitely take hard work and commitment, but I know through Christ that all things are possible. So I'm embarking upon this journey, I know I won't be alone - I will have God, family, friends and all of my friends at Sparkpeople to support me all the way!

    This is so exciting and I'm so happy for you! 5K's are so much fun. I still walk/jog almost every race I do, but I am still so happy when I cross that finish line. I know you will be too! emoticon emoticon
